Michele Lagarde-May
MD
Dr. Lagarde-May is the Lead Physician at our Gentilly Health Center. The New Orleans native grew up in the 7th Ward and earned her MD from the University of Kansas Medical School after receiving her Bachelor of Science from Xavier University of Louisiana where she graduated cum laude. She completed her internship and residency in family medicine at Florida Hospital Orlando (now AdventHealth Orlando).
She holds memberships with the American Academy of Family Medicine, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale, and the Krewe of Themis. Active in her community, Dr. Lagarde-May is also a member of Corpus Christi Epiphany Catholic Church where she directs the Liturgical Dance Ministry.
