Dr. Thomas earned her MD from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport after completing her bachelor's degree in biology from Loyola University New Orleans where she was a magna cum laude graduate. Dr. Thomas went on to complete her residency in family medicine at Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
Dr. Thomas is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine, and she is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians as well as the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians. She has volunteered with Woman's Hospital Baton Rouge, Caddo Parish Health Unit, Martin Luther King Health Center and Free Clinic, and Sankofa Gardens.
